About Me
Hello! I am Jewel Sanchez. I am a part-time CIS student here at Cerritos trying to broaden my skills and learn things I can eventually reflect in my portfolio. I have my Bachelor’s in journalism, but I’m pivoting a bit and plan to use what I learn from Cerritos to prepare for applying to graduate school. My overall interests revolve around digital media storytelling, whether that's in the medium of audio, video, or photography. My last semester as an undergrad, however, showed me how much of an asset coding is in investigative journalism, so now I'm here trying to learn it myself. I am very new to the coding world, so I'm definitely new to HTML too, but I'm very excited to begin!
When I Have Free Time:
- I love shooting and editing videos.
- I often bingewatch crime and mystery shows.
- Although sometimes bad reality TV hooks me too
- I love to learn new craft skills.
- I recently left crocheting and right now my main obsession is working with chainmail and scalemail!
My favorite website is NPR because there are so many amazing podcasts to learn from. One of my goals is to some day work with NPR.
